A guaranteed way to improve your church’s health is to increase the number of people serving.
The Unstuck Group started collating data on serving levels from their consults.
They found that the average church engages 45% of its adult and student population in some sort of serving role.
I’ve found that the percentage varies according to the size of church but churches under 400 should be seeing at least 60% involvement in serving.
What’s percentage of your teens and adults are serving?
My book How to Recruit, Retain & Motivate Volunteers contains some excellent strategies for lifting that percentage.
